Particularities: Colonies from this species can reach a size of up to 1,000-4,000 animals, the maximum being about 10,000. They move fast and will jump from branch to branch in trees. They are exclusively daytime active and only live in decayed wood. Highly aggressive and even stronger fighters than ligniperda during conflicts with enemy ants. Workers ants from this species are distinctively hairy.
