Particularities: Ants from the Myrmecia species are also known as ‘Bulldog Ants’. They are typically characterised by their long mandibles and keen eyesight. Their sting can be similar to that of a wasp. This Myrmecia species belongs to Jack Jumpers. They spend a lot of time running around on plants and leaves and are able to jump from branch to branch. They prove a little more fearful in their hunting behaviour. One of the most beautifully coloured Myrmecia species.
