Particularities: Ants from the Myrmecia species are also known as ‘Bulldog Ants’. They are typically characterised by their long mandibles and keen eyesight. Their sting can be similar to that of a wasp. This species is a little more difficult to keep and its development is somewhat slower than that of Myrmecia pavida.
