Particularities: Ants from the Myrmecia species are also known as ‘Bulldog Ants’. They are typically characterised by their long mandibles and keen eyesight. Their sting can be similar to that of a wasp. This species is somewhat larger than Myrmecia pavida. Due to their size, their development is however somewhat slower.
