Particularities: Very large and long-legged Polyrhachis species from Malaysia; matte black to almost brownish in colour. Their nests are woven in bushes and shrubs at ground-level. This species uses its larvae to weave its nests. They don’t however belong to true weaver-ants, like Oecophylla for instance. These animals are escape specialists, so be careful to use an effective anti-escape system.
