Particularities: This Cataglyphis species is found in North Africa and prefers very warm and dry conditions. They dwell in North African deserts and are also known as "Saharan silver ants" due to their sliver glow in certain lighting conditions. This is the only Cataglyphis species with a soldier ant caste. Some areas of the tank should be kept at a temperature of over 30°C.
